Onam, the festival celebrating the annual harvest is upon us—marking the beginning of the festive season. One of the many things we love about Onam is its delicious feast. The much loved Onam feast or as it is traditionally known, Onam Sadhya, is comprised of 26 dishes that are prepared using 60 different types of ingredients. Arisii – The Coastal Kitchen
Arisii – The Coastal Kitchen is doing a special Onam Sadhya thali for one day only (5 September). With traditional delicacies such as Kaaya Varuthathu (banana chips), Avial, Olan, Erissery, Pineapple Puliserry, Paal Payasam, Ada Pradaman, and more, served alongside red or white rice— head here for an authentic Sadhya meal served on banana leaf.

Padmanabham
The Onam Sadhya at Padmanabham is the realest of ’em all and a crowd favourite. You start with munching on the crispy banana chips (Nendran), sweet Sarkara Varatti (Upperi), spiced Mor Milagai (curd chilli), and tangy pickles including Inji (ginger), Kadumanga (mango), and Naranga (lemon). Then, the meal picks up with classics such as Aviyal, Kaalan, Olan, Erissery, Pachadi, Beetroot Kichadi, Thoran, and Vada Curry. Staples like red rice, white rice, parippu curry, sambar, pulissery, rasam, podi, and a drizzle of aromatic ghee are at your service to complement the flavour explosion. And for ending on a sweet notes, there’s Ada Payasam, Kadala Payasam, and Semiya Payasam. Phew!

Experience luxurious dining at Sana – Di – Ge, known for doing great Onam Sadhya in Delhi— something that we look forward to every year. Chef Ruchira Hoon’s gem, Dakshin Canteen is where we will be at this year for enjoying authentic Onam Sadhya in Delhi this year. This Onam Sadhya in Delhi NCR will definitely be memorable! OMO is OMO is once again partnering with Chef Marina Balakrishnan, a global authority on Kerala cuisine, to present their second edition of an unparalleled 30-course Sadhya this year. Incorporating fresh, seasonal ingredients and untouched recipes, they are starting with their Onam Sadhya a little early on 30 August and 31 August.

However, note that they are only available for dine-in. Their Sadhya is going to have over 25 elements, right from Erissery (pumkin, red beans, grated coconut) to Katti Parippu (moong dal) to Rasam to Payasam.
