Munsiyari Tourism

Munsiyari, sometimes known as “Little Kashmir,” is a quaint village in Uttarakhand’s Pithoragarh District. The charming tiny hill town, which sits at an elevation of 2298 metres, is famed for its panoramic views of the snow-capped Himalayan Range as well as some challenging trekking paths.

Munsiyari, located on the border of India, Tibet, and Nepal, is the home of three glaciers: the Namik, Milam, and Ralam Glaciers. The picturesque settlement is often seen romancing with the gorgeous backdrop of Panchachuli (the five peaks), Nanda Devi, and Nanda Kot throughout the year. Munsiyari, also known as the ‘Gateway to Johar Valley,’ is the beginning of the Johar Valley, which was formerly the old trading route between Tibet and India.
