This Gelato Spot In Goa Packs A Powerful Punch Of Pastels & Flavours
When in Goa, it’s almost a given that a local will nudge you toward a certain gelateria that’s been a wholesome, wholehearted part of the state for over a decade. If you haven’t guessed it yet, we’re talking about Cream Choc, an Italian gelato spot started by Italian chef Davide Passarella. While the earlier versions of the cafe may have felt a bit shy on colour or character, their brand-new outlet in Siolim has changed the game entirely.
Ambience
Rohan Bhargade, founder of Mudra Design Studio and the creative force behind the visual glow-up, brought symmetry, a pastel colour palette, and a sense of whimsy and fluidity to the space. This newest Cream Choc outlet has a Mediterranean corner, a space splashed in warm neutrals with surprising pops of blue, and is layered with cheerful checks and stripes. And all this visual grammar can be seen in every nook and cranny, turning it into a sensory treat, not just for your taste buds, but your eyes too.
Food
The moment you step in, you’re hit with a dopamine rush from the aesthetics, only to be followed by a full-blown sugar high from their signature gelato. The space now looks exactly how gelato feels: summery, hue-ful, and full of joy. Their artisanal gelatos are, quite simply, everything. Richer, creamier, and somehow still light-as-air, each scoop really does feel like a bite of Italy. The flavours are absolutely to die for. From seasonal specials like Salty Butter Caramel to classic Bubblegum and the ever-classic Pistachio, there’s something for every palate.
But the indulgence doesn’t stop there. Cream Choc also dishes out decadent smoothies, sundaes, frozen yoghurts, and waffles. This is where counting calories takes a back seat, and you finally understand what people mean when they say, “Love at First Bite.”
